New Delhi, March 24 Asgard Alcobev Ltd announced on Tuesday the appointment of Rohit Jain as Chairman Emeritus and strategic advisor to the board.
To continue benefiting from his extensive knowledge, experience, and wisdom in an advisory capacity, the Board has approved his appointment as 'Chairman Emeritus and Strategic Advisor to the Board' for a five-year term, effective from March 21, 2026, the company said in a statement.
The company clarified that Jain's appointment is in an advisory capacity and not as a director. It also reflects the company's intent to strengthen strategic continuity and governance as it builds for the future, it added.
Jain is a seasoned entrepreneur with diversified experience in breweries, distilleries, cement, steel, and related industries, the company noted.
He assisted the founding members of CMJ Breweries Private Limited, established in 2007, and has successfully led its growth into a well-recognized enterprise with a strong regional presence and established market credibility, the company said in a statement. Asgard recently acquired a majority stake in CMJ Breweries, a contract brewer in Northeast India.
