
Mumbai, March 19 A portal providing the facility of fully online property mutation in Mumbai city has been launched, officials said on Thursday, adding that it will eliminate the need to visit government offices.
Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule inaugurated the portal – epsitmumc.mahabhumi.gov.in – at a virtual event.
Property owners, including Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), can apply from anywhere through this website for property card name transfers and other changes, according to an official release.
The portal, developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), also provides real-time SMS alerts and allows online status tracking.
As many as 45 types of property-related changes, including those arising due to sale deeds, inheritance, gift deeds, leases, mortgages, and land acquisition, can now be processed online.
A help desk has been set up at the Mumbai city collector's office to assist applicants who face technical issues.
The portal was launched as part of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Maharajaswa Abhiyan, which aims to improve efficiency and transparency in revenue services, the release said.
