Bokaro, April 9 At least 12 students from a private school were injured after the bus carrying them collided head-on with a truck in the Bokaro district of Jharkhand on Thursday afternoon, an official said.

The accident occurred near the Rajabeda railway bridge, under the jurisdiction of the Chandrapur police station.

The injured students, from classes 8-12, were admitted to the Chandrapura DVC hospital, and four of them were later referred to the Bokaro general hospital, he added.

"The school bus collided head-on with a truck traveling in the opposite direction at a sharp turn near the Rajabeda railway bridge," said Bermo Sub-Divisional Officer Mukesh Machua.

The bus was carrying students from the Bhandarideh DAV School towards the Telo village.
