
Hyderabad, March 16 Renowned economist Arvind Subramanian met Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Monday and made key suggestions on improving the state's economy.
Reddy and his deputy, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, discussed the electricity sector, stamps and registration, and GST with Subramanian, according to an official release.
The release stated that issues related to expenditure in the power sector, estimation of taxes in GST, and other matters were discussed during the meeting.
Subramanian, a former chief economic advisor to the Central government, suggested that the state should be developed in a planned manner to improve its economy, the release added.
Earlier in the day, in his address to the state legislature, Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla said that the state's economy remains strong and resilient, highlighting a projected GSDP of ₹17.82 lakh crore for 2025-26, reflecting an impressive growth rate of 10.7 per cent.
