Sukhu Faces Criticism Over Salary Delays, Comparing to Pakistan Model.webp

Shimla, April 8 Himachal Pradesh's Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur accused Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu of implementing a "Pakistan model" in the state on Wednesday, asserting that the BJP's sole agenda is to remove the current state government from power.

Addressing a press conference in Mandi, Thakur claimed that, similar to Pakistan, where salaries for employees and officials are often delayed due to a severe financial crisis, Himachal Pradesh is now facing the same issue. He alleged that the state government has been compelled to defer salaries not only for employees and officers but also for elected representatives.

Thakur accused the Sukhu-led government of failing on the economic front, stating that its policies have destabilized the state's financial condition and are detrimental to the public.

He also raised concerns about corruption, claiming that the allegations against leaders and officials during the current administration are unprecedented in the state's history.

Referring to Sukhu as the "Messiah of Lies," Thakur noted that Sukhu's remarks while campaigning in Assam indicate that the Indian National Congress (INC) high command has retained him solely to spread misinformation.

Thakur also referenced political resolutions passed during a working committee meeting held in Mandi after an eight-year hiatus. He expressed gratitude to the central government for its ongoing support towards Himachal Pradesh and announced that the party would share the state government's anti-people policies with the public.
