
April 03, New Delhi: French President Emmanuel Macron held a summit meeting with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung in Seoul on Friday during his two-day state visit to South Korea. The leaders agreed to strengthen defense ties and jointly address economic and energy challenges arising from the ongoing conflict in West Asia.
President Lee emphasized that both nations would coordinate policies to enhance energy security, including protecting maritime transport routes. The summit also focused on expanding cooperation in semiconductors, nuclear energy, critical minerals, and quantum technologies, further solidifying the strategic partnership between France and South Korea.
