New Delhi, March 17 Sunkonnect, a renewable energy management consulting firm, said on Tuesday that it aims to eliminate up to 200 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions in India by 2030.
The initiative aligns with and contributes to 20 per cent of the government's target, making Sunkonnect a significant private sector partner in the country's national mission for a low-carbon future, the Singapore-based company said in a statement.
"As the Government of India charts a bold course to reduce the nation's carbon emissions by one billion tonnes by 2030, a core pillar of its commitment under the Paris Agreement, premier renewable energy advisory firm Sunkonnect has announced an ambitious plan to help eliminate up to 200 million tonnes of CO₂ in India within the same timeframe," it said.
