
Kolkata, March 29 The Election Commission (EC) released the fourth supplementary voter list on Sunday, following the completion of inquiries by the SIT in West Bengal, which is heading towards elections, an official said.
However, there was no information from the EC regarding the total number of deletions or additions.
"The fourth list has been released. We cannot provide any further information," the official stated.
Approximately 60 lakh names were marked as "under adjudication" in the final voter list published on February 28. Subsequently, 705 judicial officers were engaged to determine whether these names would be retained or removed from the electoral rolls.
Polling for the 294-member West Bengal Assembly will take place on April 23 and 29, with counting scheduled for May 4.
