
Ranchi, March 26 A CyberPeace Wellness Centre will be established on the campus of the National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL) in Ranchi to support victims of cybercrime, a press statement said on Thursday.
The Centre will be established in collaboration with CyberPeace, a global organization working to make cyberspace safer and more inclusive.
The initiative aims to address the growing complexity of cybercrime by ensuring that victims receive comprehensive support – from incident response to legal recourse and psychological recovery – placing individuals at the centre of cyber resilience, the release said.
NUSRL Vice Chancellor Dr. Ashok R. Patil said, "This multidisciplinary facility moves beyond conventional, reactive approaches to cyber security and embraces a more human-centric vision of cyber resilience. The NUSRL Ranchi-CyberPeace Wellness Centre will serve as a comprehensive, single-point resource offering preventive and curative solutions to online distress, while strengthening digital literacy and safety across Jharkhand."
The Wellness Centre will adopt a comprehensive, victim-centric approach to address a wide spectrum of cybercrimes and technology-enabled abuses, including financial frauds such as phishing, UPI, and banking scams, identity theft and impersonation, online abuse, and others, the release said.
