
An awareness program on the PM Vishwakarma Yojana was organized in Kishtwar to educate local artisans and craftsmen about the various benefits and opportunities available under the scheme.
The program was conducted by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in collaboration with the district administration. During the event, detailed information was shared with beneficiaries regarding financial assistance, skill upgradation, modern toolkits, and other support aimed at strengthening traditional occupations.
Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar, along with other district officials, attended the program and interacted with the participants. The speakers emphasized the importance of the scheme in empowering traditional artisans by enhancing their skills and improving their livelihood opportunities.
The program saw participation from several local artisans and craftsmen, who were encouraged to register and take advantage of the benefits offered under the scheme to promote self-employment and preserve traditional crafts.
