New Delhi, April 8 The Delhi government announced on Wednesday that it has appointed designated contact persons to coordinate the implementation and liaise with the "My Career Advisor" app.
The app is a structured, data-driven platform that guides students on career choices related to emerging fields such as artificial intelligence.
State-level designated contact persons (SPOCs) have been appointed to coordinate implementation and liaise with relevant agencies regarding the app, the Directorate of Education said.
The initiative relates to the "My Career Advisor (MCA)" platform, a mobile and web-based application developed under the aegis of the Ministry of Education. It aims to help students make informed decisions by aligning career guidance with evolving workforce requirements.
The order, issued by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Delhi, also seeks to address gaps in access to career counselling, particularly in underserved and rural areas.
This aligns with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and has seen adoption across several states and Union Territories with support from the Ministry of Education.
As part of the rollout, coordination meetings with stakeholders and capacity-building programs for teachers and students will be organized to facilitate effective implementation.
