New Delhi, April 8 Chief Justice of India (CJI) Surya Kant on Wednesday extended his best wishes to Supreme Court judge Rajesh Bindal, who will be retiring on April 15.
The CJI was addressing a felicitation event organized for Justice Bindal by the All India Senior Advocates Association.
He praised the outgoing judge for his hard work and legal expertise.
"I am quite sure that Justice Bindal has many more years ahead of him after his tenure in the Supreme Court... I wish him a happy life, good health, and everything he desires," the CJI said.
The association's secretary general and senior advocate, Adish C Aggarwala, said, "This event is being held to recognize Justice Bindal's distinguished personality, which reflects wisdom, integrity, humility, and an unwavering commitment to justice. His clear thinking, balanced approach, and compassionate outlook have earned him deep respect and admiration from the global legal community."
Born in Ambala, Haryana, in 1961, Justice Bindal was appointed as a Supreme Court judge on February 13, 2023.
