
March 08, New Delhi - Annabel Sutherland continued her impressive performance at the WACA ground, scoring a century as Australia restricted India to 105 for 6 at the close of Day 2 of the only women's Test in Perth.
Australia began Day 2 at 96 for 3, with strong performances from Ellyse Perry and Sutherland.
Perry scored 76 off 116 balls, while Sutherland dominated with a commanding 129 off 171 balls.
In reply, Indian openers Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma were dismissed cheaply for single-digit scores.
Jemimah Rodrigues and Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur got starts but failed to convert them into big scores.
India will resume batting on Day 3 in a difficult position, with six wickets down and still trailing by 20 runs.
