Gurugram, March 28 A three-month-old child died, and his mother and aunt were injured after the SUV they were travelling in struck a roadside tree and overturned in the Pataudi area here, police said on Saturday.
According to the police, on Friday evening, Pooja, a resident of Rohtak's Tilak Nagar, along with her sister Ritu and her three-month-old son Yugraj, was travelling in an SUV (Scorpio) to her parents' house in Maheshwari village, Rewari.
The accident occurred late evening near Lohchabka village after an animal suddenly appeared on the road. When Pooja, who was driving the car, swerved to avoid the impact, the vehicle lost control, hit a tree, and overturned.
The child, who was sitting with her aunt, sustained serious injuries, while Pooja and Ritu suffered minor injuries.
The child was taken to a private hospital where doctors declared him dead.
