
Jaipur, April 6 Two cousins were killed after a speeding SUV hit their motorcycle on the Sikar-Udaipurwati road in Rajasthan on Monday, police said.
In the accident, which occurred about 15 km from the Sikar city, "the victims were thrown to the side of the road after the collision and died instantly," said Assistant Sub-inspector Dhola Ram.
According to the police, the collision was so severe that the motorcycle got stuck under the SUV (Bolero), and both vehicles caught fire, leading to a traffic jam on both sides of the road.
The deceased, Ramchandra Goswami, 39, and Mukesh Goswami, 30, were residents of Purohit Ka Bas in Lakhhipura, they said.
Police said the duo was on their way to Sikar city for work when the speeding SUV coming from the opposite direction rammed into their vehicle.
Upon receiving information, the police reached the spot and sent the bodies for a post-mortem, they said, adding that traffic movement was also restored.
