Sydney, April 7 Former Australian opener David Warner was arrested on Tuesday for drunk driving after he exceeded the permissible limits during a random breath test in Maroubra.
Warner is scheduled to appear in court next month, according to 7News.
According to the report, Maroubra police approached Warner's vehicle, which was pulled over well before the testing site on Malabar Road, and subjected him to a breath test, which came back positive.
The 39-year-old batter, currently contracted with the Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Cricket League, was taken to the local police station, where he again blew 0.104 – double the legal limit. He was later released from the station.
However, the legal proceedings will not prevent Warner from traveling to participate in the PSL 2026.
Warner was on a personal trip to Sydney, using a seven-day break before Kings' next match against Peshawar Zalmi on April 9.
The Kings, led by Warner, are currently second in the PSL table with six points from three matches, behind the leading Multan Sultans who have eight points from five matches.
From three matches, Warner has scored 93 runs with one fifty for Kings in this year's PSL.
