
Kolkata, March 1 – Sanju Samson smashed an unbeaten 97 as India thrashed the West Indies by five wickets to qualify for the semi-finals of the 2026 T20 World Cup at the Eden Gardens Stadium.
Chasing a target of 196 on a flat pitch, India suffered an early setback but Samson's composed innings ensured that they reached the target safely. Tilak Varma, who came in at number 5, played a brisk innings of 27 off 15 deliveries, contributing to a thrilling finish.
