Mumbai, February 25. Former actress Somy Ali revealed three naturally beautiful actresses from the 90s, who were also her close friends.
These stunning and talented women are Tabu, Manisha Koirala, and Raveena Tandon.
Praising the three for their flawless beauty and talent, Somy posted on her official Instagram account, saying, "Having spent nine years in Hindi cinema in the 90s, these three young actresses were my close friends. I can honestly say that I have never seen anyone as stunningly and breathtakingly beautiful as these three young ladies, without any makeup. (sic)"
"Their talent is a completely different story; one could write entire books about Tabu's craft and Manisha and Raveena's. However, when it comes to seeing someone without a speck of makeup just a few feet away, and being struck by how flawless they are, it's important to acknowledge that. Because what else is sisterhood really about? It's never too late to uplift anyone who deserves it," she added.
In another update, Somy expressed concern about the health of veteran screenwriter and Bollywood star Salman Khan's father, Salim Khan, after he was recently hospitalised.
She shared that the news "broke my heart."
"To the world, he is a legendary writer who helped shape icons like Amitabh Bachchan and co-created masterpieces like Sholay. To me, he was a father figure," Somy wrote on the photo-sharing app.
Revealing what it was like living with the Khans, she added, "Living in their home, I was treated like a daughter, included at the table, and engaged in deep conversations about faith, where all religions were respected and celebrated. He taught me that God is bigger than doctrine, and that storytelling must always carry truth beneath the drama. His brilliance built cinematic history. His humanity built people."
Somy concluded the post by praying for the recovery of the celebrated screenwriter.
