March 23, New Delhi: Taxi drivers in Taiwan say that rising petrol prices are significantly impacting their livelihoods. Fuel prices in Taiwan increased by $0.05 per liter after the latest revision took effect on Monday.
Commuters are also feeling the impact, with the recent increase adding at least $15 to the cost of filling a tank. The Taiwanese government has raised petrol prices twice since the Iran crisis began, increasing pressure on daily transport and travel costs.
