Tirunelveli (Tamil Nadu), April 7 TVK General Secretary ‘Bussy’ N Anand stated on Tuesday that party chief and actor Vijay will be campaigning in Tirunelveli and Tuticorin on April 8.
Speaking to reporters here, Anand said, "The exact schedule and locations will be announced later through the TVK website once permission is obtained from the police."
However, he added that it is still unclear whether there will be a roadshow in Tirunelveli or not.
"He will also be visiting Tuticorin to meet his supporters and members, but he will not be addressing the public there," Anand added.
Vijay's campaign schedule in Chennai, originally planned for the Villivakkam and T Nagar constituencies on April 6 and 7, has been cancelled amid rumours that police permission had been denied.
However, police sources stated that permission had been granted for one hour.
