Tamil Nadu Elections: Vijay Challenges CM's 'Superstar' Claims

Tamil Nadu Elections: Vijay Challenges CM's 'Superstar' Claims.webp

Vellore (Tamil Nadu), February 23 TVK chief Vijay on Monday criticized DMK President and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, saying his true friends were bribery, corruption, and the pursuit of political gains.

He accused the chief minister of making false promises to the people and challenged the ruling party's claim of having transformed the state into a "superstar" state.

Addressing a meeting of party officials here, Vijay described the upcoming state elections in April as a "surprising election," as all parties in the state are allegedly working against him.

Rejecting the DMK's claim of having developed Tamil Nadu into a "superstar" state, the chief of the fledgling party said that the state was "such a superb state" during the times of iconic leaders K. Kamaraj, C.N. Annadurai, and M.G. Ramachandran.

Dubbing the DMK regime as a "good-for-nothing, reverse-engineered government," he alleged that the state has been transformed into a "super-stand-up comedian-run state."

The TVK chief claimed that Tamil Nadu meant Vijay and that he represented the entire Tamil Nadu.
