Chennai, April 6 AIADMK chief Edappadi K Palaniswami announced on Monday that his assets were worth Rs 50.86 lakh, including cash and bank accounts.
His wife, P Radha, had total assets worth Rs 5.61 crore.
According to the affidavit submitted to the Election Commission during the filing of his nomination papers from the Edappadi Assembly constituency in Tamil Nadu's Salem district on Monday, the AIADMK general secretary stated that he possessed Rs 50,000 in cash and, along with his bank account savings, owned moveable assets worth Rs 50,86,546.75.
He also stated that he does not own any immovable assets.
The 72-year-old leader's wife owned moveable assets worth Rs 2.16 crore, and her immovable assets are worth Rs 3.45 crore, he stated.
Palaniswami stated that his total liabilities included Rs 17 lakh, which included a "personal loan".
