Vijayawada, April 11 One person was killed here in the NTR district on Saturday after a tanker truck overturned onto a car he was driving, police said.
B Srinivas Rao, an advocate, was the only person in the car when the accident occurred, Vijayawada police commissioner SV Rajasekhar Babu said.
"They are saying it was a kerosene tanker. That tanker fell on the car, and he died," Babu told reporters.
According to police, the accident occurred around 4 pm at the Keesara toll plaza.
As the luxury car was crushed by the tanker truck, the police struggled to remove Rao's remains from the mangled vehicle.
