
February 17, New Delhi — The newly elected members of parliament from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) took the oath of office at the Jatiya Sangsad in Dhaka this morning.
Bangladesh's newly elected prime minister, Tarique Rahman, along with other BNP lawmakers, were sworn in to parliament on Tuesday, becoming the first elected representatives since the 2024 uprising.
The Chief Election Commissioner of Bangladesh administered the oath of office to the newly elected lawmakers.
The BNP Parliamentary Party has elected Party Chairman Tarique Rahman as the Leader of the House. This decision was made at a meeting of the BPP at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.
