
New Delhi, April 7 Tata Steel announced on Tuesday that it had achieved its highest-ever annual crude steel production in India, reaching 23.48 million tonnes in 2025-26, an increase of eight per cent compared to the previous fiscal year.
This increase was mainly due to the increased output at its Kalinganagar plant.
According to provisional figures from Tata Steel, crude steel production rose to 6.25 million tonnes in the fourth quarter of FY26, compared to 5.44 million tonnes in the year-ago period.
Annual deliveries in India also increased in line with production, reaching 22.53 million tonnes.
"Domestic deliveries exceeded 20 million tonnes for the first time, highlighting our strong market position and enduring customer relationships," Tata Steel said in a filing to BSE.
The company also noted that deliveries were up 10 per cent year-over-year in the fourth quarter of FY26.
The automotive and specialty products vertical recorded its highest-ever annual delivery volumes of 3.4 million tonnes, while branded products and the retail segment achieved volumes of 7.3 million tonnes, driven by the performance of well-established brands.
Tata Steel further stated that the industrial products and projects vertical achieved delivery volumes of 7.2 million tonnes, supported by the performance of value-adding segments.
Tata Steel Thailand's saleable steel production in FY2026 was 1.33 million tonnes, with deliveries reaching 1.32 million tonnes. Deliveries improved by 11 per cent year-over-year, primarily driven by strong domestic rebar sales.
