Hoshiarpur (Punjab), April 3 A teenage boy died and two people were injured after they were struck by lightning while playing cricket in a village here on Friday, police said.
The incident took place on the outskirts of Rasoolpur village in the Garhshankar area when around 10-12 boys were playing in an open ground amid cloudy weather, they said.
According to police, Tarandeep Singh (16) died while Anshpreet and Jassi Loi were injured and admitted to a private hospital in Nawanshahr. Their condition is reported to be stable.
The body has been kept at the Garhshankar civil hospital, police said.
