Jhansi (UP), March 11 A nine-year-old boy was allegedly sexually assaulted by two teenagers from his neighborhood here, officials said on Wednesday.
The incident came to light after the accused allegedly shared a video of the act with their friends, they said.
According to the complaint lodged at the Navabad police station by the boy's father, the incident took place on March 7 when the family was busy with a function.
The two accused, aged around 15 to 16, lured his son, a Class 1 student, to a nearby dilapidated building where they allegedly sexually assaulted the boy, and filmed the act on a mobile phone, the complainant said.
The boy's family learned of the incident on March 9 after the accused allegedly showed the video to another friend, who eventually alerted family members.
"Based on the complaint, a report has been registered regarding the sexual assault of the child. Necessary legal action is being taken against the accused," Navabad Station House Officer Ravi Srivastava said.
The police have initiated an investigation into the matter and are verifying the digital evidence, he added.
