Hyderabad, April 9 A woman, who worked as a nurse at a state-run hospital, allegedly committed suicide in the Warangal district of Telangana, while her parents claimed that she was raped, police said on Thursday.
The woman (20) went to the terrace of their house to sleep on Wednesday night, and her body was found hanging this morning by family members.
Medical examination revealed that she was not raped.
The woman's parents, in their statement to the police, alleged that she was raped.
A case of suspicious death has been registered, and the relevant sections of the law will be amended based on the investigation findings, police said.
A person who allegedly had close contact with the woman in the past is being questioned about his possible involvement in her suicide, they said.
