Hyderabad, March 31 Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said on Tuesday that the state government would accept suggestions online from the public on the Musi river rejuvenation project.

Vikramarka, who heads the cabinet sub-committee on Musi development works, said that suggestions can be submitted online from March 31 to April 15.

All valuable suggestions will be thoroughly analysed, and the sub-committee members will directly engage in phased consultations with those who provided input, he said.

Recalling that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy recently performed 'bhumi puja' for the reconstruction of Omkareshwara and Machileshwara (Shiva) temples on the banks of the Musi river at Manchirevula here, Vikramarka instructed officials to prepare a comprehensive roadmap for the works to be undertaken.

He asked officials to divide responsibilities, including coordination with Defence authorities, consultations with the displaced families, finalisation of construction designs, and discussions with bankers, an official release said.

He urged officials to move forward with enthusiasm in view of the commitment of the chief minister and the entire Cabinet. He told them that the project would be a milestone in their careers.

The Deputy CM assured that the Musi Sub-committee members would be available round the clock to support officials with any suggestions or requirements.

Emphasizing the need to clean the Musi river here, which is polluted by industrial pollutants and sewage discharge, Revanth Reddy vowed on March 28 to rejuvenate the river and also build grand temples, mosques, churches and Sikh shrines as part of the project.
