
Rajnath Singh Emphasizes Development Efforts at Tezpur Rally
Tezpur, Assam: Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh addressed a Vijay Sankalp Sabha (Victory Pledge Meeting) in Tezpur, Assam, today in support of the NDA candidate and leader of the Asom Gana Parishad, Prithviraj Rabha. The rally was held at the Tezpur Collegiate High School playground in preparation for the upcoming Assembly elections.
In his speech, Singh stated that Assam and the Northeast have experienced unprecedented development over the past 12 years under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He noted that the Prime Minister has visited Assam approximately 30 times, reflecting the Centre's focus on the region.
Criticizing the Congress, Singh cited past incidents of terrorism and insecurity, including the 2004 Dhemaji blast and the 2008 Guwahati blasts. He added that over 7,500 militants have surrendered and rejoined mainstream society in recent years.
Praising Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Singh described him as a leader who represents courage, development, and security. He urged voters to support NDA candidates to ensure continued peace and progress in the state.
