Thane, February 23 A 43-year-old man has been arrested in Thane for allegedly defrauding a medical store owner of ₹35.42 lakh by promising to get his son admitted to a medical college under a "VIP quota," a police official said on Monday.
An FIR was registered against Prashant Mahajan, a resident of Balkum, on February 22 for cheating and other offenses under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, according to Narpoli police station sub-inspector Santosh Shinde.
