
New Delhi, March 10 "The Revenant," starring Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio, is set to be re-released in theaters worldwide on March 13.
The film, directed by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, was originally released in 2016.
20th Century Studios announced the re-release on its official Instagram handle on Monday, which featured the film's poster. "The Revenant" is returning to theaters this Friday, March 13. Get your tickets now," the caption read.
"The Revenant" centered on Hugh Glass, a frontiersman from the 1820s, played by DiCaprio, who was left for dead after being attacked by a bear and having his son murdered by a treacherous team member, John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy).
The film grossed over USD 533 million at the box office and received 12 Academy Award nominations.
The film also marked DiCaprio's first Academy Award win for Best Actor, along with two other awards: the Academy Award for Inarritu in the Best Director category and Best Cinematography.
DiCaprio's latest work is "One Battle After Another," which was directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. It is scheduled for release in 2025 and also stars Sean Penn.
