Thrissur Man Dies Following Poll Day Collapse.webp

Thrissur (Kerala), April 9 A 62-year-old man collapsed and died after casting his vote at Vaniampara on Thursday.

The deceased, identified as Vinodan, was a resident of Ramanchira near Vaniampara, according to police.

According to police, Vinodan had arrived at the EKM UP School in Vaniampara in the morning to cast his vote.

After waiting in the queue for almost an hour, he exercised his right to vote.

While exiting the polling station, he suddenly collapsed around 10:45 am, police said.

Although people nearby rushed to help him sit down, his condition deteriorated, police said.

An ambulance arrived quickly and transported him to a government hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said that a case will be registered and an investigation will be launched into the incident.
