Gondia, Apr 11 A Class V student died after the iron gate of her school in Tirora, Gondia district, collapsed on her on Saturday, a police official said.
The incident occurred at PM Shri Rani Awantibai Primary School (Lodhitola), according to inspector Amit Wankhede.
"The deceased, Nirali Chaple (11), was the daughter of the school headmistress, Shubhangi Chaple. Nirali sustained severe injuries when the gate fell on her around 1 pm. She was initially taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors referred her to a larger facility. However, she died en route," he said.
