Traffic arrangements in Silchar in preparation for PM Modi's visit
In preparation for Prime Minister Modi's visit to Silchar tomorrow, extensive preparations have been made for a large public rally at Budhurail.
Additional Superintendent of Police of Cachar, Rajat Pal, stated in a press briefing that over two lakh people are expected to attend the event. To manage the crowd, a new traffic arrangement has been implemented.
The police have also arranged more than ten large parking areas, each capable of accommodating over a thousand vehicles.
On Saturday in Silchar, the Prime Minister will perform the Bhoomi Poojan for the Shillong-Silchar Corridor, the first access-controlled Greenfield four-lane High-Speed Corridor in North-East India. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stones for an agricultural college and several other projects in the Barak Valley.
