Eviction drive conducted in Changsari to ease traffic on the AIIMS road
In Assam, the Kamrup district administration carried out an eviction drive in Changsari this morning. The drive took place along the main road leading to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Guwahati.
Several small traders were allegedly encroaching on the roadside and operating businesses illegally, causing severe traffic congestion. As a result, patients travelling to AIIMS Guwahati were facing serious difficulties, with ambulances often getting stuck for extended periods.
To ensure the smooth movement of vehicles and emergency services, the administration removed the illegal roadside shops from the main road starting early in the morning.
