Peshawar, April 1 At least four people, including a child, were killed after the roof of a house collapsed in northwest Pakistan on Tuesday, officials said.
The incident took place in the Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The roof of a house in the Rasool Khan area collapsed suddenly, trapping several people under the debris.
According to rescue officials, five people were pulled out from under the rubble in critical condition and taken to the District Headquarters Hospital in Khar.
Doctors at the hospital later confirmed the deaths of four victims – three women aged between 35 and 60, and a two-year-old child.
One injured person is reportedly being treated.
Authorities said that further investigation into the cause of the collapse is underway.
