
A training and sensitization program for judges and public prosecutors on persons with disabilities was held at the Andhra Pradesh Judicial Academy (APJA) in Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh, today. The program was inaugurated by Justice Ravi Nath Tilhari. He spoke about the role of judges and prosecutors in handling cases involving persons with disabilities.
The training was organized under the guidance of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh and in accordance with the directions from the Ministry of Home Affairs. C. Purushottam Kumar, Director of APJA, coordinated the event. The sessions covered sensitization and accessibility, best practices for inclusive education and adjudication, and the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. Experts guided participants on how to uphold the rights of persons with disabilities.
