Today in the Lok Sabha, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will respond to the discussion on the Finance Bill, 2026. The bill aims to implement the financial proposals of the Central Government for the financial year 2026-2027. The Lok Sabha is also scheduled to discuss the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Amendment) Bill, 2025, as reported by the Select Committee.
Today in the Rajya Sabha, Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to introduce the Central Armed Police Forces (General Administration) Bill, 2026. The bill aims to regulate the general rules governing the recruitment and terms of service of Group A General Duty Officers and other officers in the Central Armed Police Forces, as well as other rules pertaining to these forces. In addition, the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019, will also be considered and passed today. This bill was passed by the Lok Sabha yesterday.
