
March 11, New Delhi — The Indian Naval Ship Trikand, a stealth frigate of the Indian Navy, arrived in Port Louis, Mauritius on March 10, 2026, during its ongoing operational deployment in the South West Indian Ocean region.
During the port call, the ship will participate in the 58th Mauritius National Day celebrations on March 12, 2026, with a marching contingent, a naval band, and a helicopter for the fly-past at the National Day Parade at Champ de Mars, Port Louis.
Captain Sachin Kulkarni, the Commanding Officer, is also scheduled to meet with senior government and Mauritius Coast Guard officials.
Training and cultural exchanges, including cross-training visits, friendly sporting events, and community service activities, are also planned.
The visit aims to strengthen maritime cooperation, enhance operational interoperability, and further bilateral relations between India and Mauritius.
