March 08, New Delhi – U.S. President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump attended the repatriation of six American service members killed in a drone strike, marking the first U.S. troop deaths in the West Asia conflict.
The troops were killed last Sunday when a drone struck a U.S. command center in Kuwait, a day after the United States and Israel launched their military campaign against Iran.
All six service members were assigned to the 103rd Sustainment Command, based in Des Moines, Iowa.
Trump paid his respects as flag-draped caskets carrying the soldiers' remains were carried off a military transport plane at Dover Air Force Base.
U.S. Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth were also present at the airport.
