Trump Dismisses Oil Price Surge as 'Small Price' for Security.webp

March 09, New Delhi – Donald Trump downplayed the surge in global oil prices driven by the war on Sunday, describing it as a temporary inconvenience amid the ongoing US-led military campaign against Iran.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said that "short-term increases in oil prices will rapidly decline once the threat posed by Iran's nuclear program is eliminated" and that they are "a very small price to pay for the safety and peace of the U.S. and the world."

He also wrote, "ONLY FOOLS WOULD THINK DIFFERENTLY!"

These remarks come as escalating strikes by the United States and Israel on Iran are disrupting key shipping routes, such as the Strait of Hormuz, increasing volatility in global oil markets.
