March 06, New Delhi: Donald Trump has suggested that Tehran is reaching out to the United States to negotiate a deal amidst ongoing military strikes.
Speaking at an event at the White House, Trump said that Iranian officials were contacting Washington about negotiations. "They're calling, they're saying 'how do we make a deal?' I said you're being a little bit late," he said.
Trump also praised the US military actions in Iran, claiming that the strikes were destroying Tehran's missile and drone capabilities. He further claimed that Iran's naval forces had been severely damaged, saying, "their navy is gone — 24 ships in three days."
The US President also called on Iranian diplomats around the world to request asylum and help shape what he described as a better future for the country.
