February 24, New Delhi – U.S. President Donald Trump continues to weigh diplomatic and military options regarding Iran, reiterating on Monday evening that he prefers to reach a deal to curb Tehran’s nuclear program. At the same time, he warned that failure to do so would lead to a "very bad day" for the country.
Meanwhile, Iran has dismissed reports of a potential "interim agreement" with the United States, calling such claims unfounded.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei addressed the rumors about the format and substance of ongoing negotiations between Tehran and Washington at a press conference on Monday. He emphasized that none of the circulating details are confirmed by Iran, particularly those concerning an interim agreement, which he said "has no basis."
