March 30, New Delhi – U.S. President Donald Trump warned Iran on Monday to keep the Strait of Hormuz open or face possible U.S. strikes on its oil and power infrastructure. In a social media post, Trump said that failure to reach a deal could lead to attacks on Iran’s power plants, oil wells, and key facilities.

He also claimed that Iran was undergoing "regime change" and described its new leadership as "reasonable."

Iran's Foreign Ministry denied any direct talks with the United States. Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said that no negotiations had taken place since the last round of discussions. He added that Iran's parliament is reviewing a potential exit from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

Iran also confirmed the death of Revolutionary Guards Navy Commander Alireza Tangsiri following severe injuries.

Global reactions remained cautious. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that Britain would not be "dragged" into the conflict. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese called for clarity on war objectives and urged de-escalation. China reiterated its call for an immediate halt to military operations and the start of peace talks.

In Europe, Spain closed its airspace to U.S. military aircraft linked to operations against Iran. Meanwhile, Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi urged an end to the conflict, warning that oil prices could surge sharply if tensions escalate further.
