Mumbai, March 26 "Tuner," a crime thriller directed by Daniel Roher, will be released in Indian theaters on May 29, PVRINOX Pictures has announced.
The movie stars Leo Woodall, who appeared in "The White Lotus," in the lead role.
"Tuner" features Woodall as a talented young piano tuner whose heightened sense of hearing draws the attention of criminals, who see his skills as useful for opening safes as well as for tuning Steinways.
With his once-promising musical career over, he works in New York with his mentor, Harry Horowitz, played by Academy Award winner Dustin Hoffman, and forms an unexpected connection with composition student Ruthie, played by Havana Rose Liu.
His work cracking safes threatens his budding romance and pulls him into increasingly dangerous territory.
The cast also includes Havana Lior Raz, Tovah Feldshuh, and Jean Reno in supporting roles.
The film had its world premiere at the 52nd Telluride Film Festival and was also screened at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2025.
It was named in TIFF's annual "Canada's Top Ten" list for 2025, and Roher and Ramsey won the Vancouver Film Critics Circle award for Best Screenplay for a Canadian Film.
PVRINOX Pictures is presenting the film as part of its effort to bring global cinema to Indian audiences.
