Chennai, March 18 In a move to avoid directly naming the NDA, TVK chief Vijay dismissed claims of "alliance talks" for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly polls as a "false campaign" on Wednesday.
He said that cadres may have been confused due to the claims that TVK might form an alliance, while addressing an Iftar event held in Mamallapuram near here.
Giving clear indications that TVK will not align with the NDA for the 2026 TN Assembly polls, he declared: "We are firm on the stand that the government will be led by us (following a decisive victory in the polls); there will be no compromise on principles of secularism and social justice."
Vijay asserted that TVK belongs to the "People's Team" and dismissed allegations that his party functioned as a "B-Team".
