Puducherry, March 22 The TVK party announced its candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in Puducherry on Sunday.
The party stated that it will contest all 30 constituencies independently.
The list includes two women, who have been fielded from Mangalam and Kadirkamam in the Puducherry region.
The party has nominated A K Sai J Saravanan Kumar as its candidate in the Thirubhuvanai reserved constituency.
Saravanan Kumar resigned from the BJP on Saturday after being denied a ticket to seek re-election from the Oussudu reserved constituency.
Former AIADMK legislators K A U Asana and L Periyasamy are the TVK candidates contesting from Karaikal (South) and Nettapakkam (reserved) constituencies, respectively.
Former president of the Puducherry unit of the BJP, V Saminathan, has been nominated for the Lawspet constituency.
Other prominent candidates include former Deputy Inspector General of Police of Puducherry, V J Chandran, and former Congress legislator, N Dhanavelou.
The party has also announced the names of its candidates for the remaining constituencies.
