Amethi (Uttar Pradesh), March 20 Two people died in a head-on collision between two motorcycles near the Rankapur village here, police said on Friday.
Two people were seriously injured in the accident that occurred in the Jagdishpur police station area on Thursday evening.
According to police, four people were injured in the collision between the two motorcycles and were taken to the Jagdishpur Community Health Centre (CHC). Doctors at the CHC declared two of them, Babulal (60) and Sonu (17), both residents of Amethi, dead.
The remaining two were referred to the Trauma Centre in Lucknow for treatment, police said.
Station House Officer, Jagdishpur, Dhirendra Yadav said the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
