Chandigarh, February 22 Two police officers were found dead with gunshot wounds in Adian, in the Gurdaspur district of Punjab, a police official said.
They were identified as Gurnam Singh and Ashok Kumar.
Kumar was a member of the home guard, while Gurnam was an Assistant Sub Inspector and Station House Officer of the Dorangla police station in Gurdaspur, Banarsi Dass said over the phone.
When asked about reports claiming that the two officers had shot each other during a dispute, the SHO said, "Investigations are ongoing at this stage."
